Charlotte, N.C.--Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx issued a three page statement that read in part, "...I announce...my decision not to run for re-election...I do not want to be a father who looks back and wishes I spent more time with them...I am grateful for the privilege of serving...For the rest of my time as mayor, I will work, as I always have, for the long-term interests of our community," Foxx said.
