Lebanese media outlets reported Sunday that Israeli fighter jets have breach the country?s airspace and flew over Marjayoun, north of Metula.? The reports also said that increased presence of IDF Ground Forces were spotted near the border.
Fierce fighting is now raging across Syria with the government retaking areas in Hama province and Turkey saying that Abbas was about to fall.

On Sabbath?a female soldier was hurt Saturday near Neve Tsuf and the civilian motorist driving on the 443 highway to Jerusalem near Maccabim ? both by flying rocks thrown by Palestinians. IDF and Border Guard troops were also attacked with bottle bombs in three parts of the West Bank. Saturday night, the Nahal? Bazelet battalion detained two Palestinians south of Nablus in possession of a pistol, two knives, a bottle bomb and instructions for their use.
As violence increases, the polls indicate that Likud is fast loosing ground to both the far right and the center/left peace parties. If the hemorrhage continues it is possible that even without a conflict Labour will gain enough seats to be asked to form the next government.? If that happens it could take until the end of Feb for a new government in Israel; during the intervening period Netanyahu will remain as PM at the head of a caretaker government.
A breach has now developed between President Peres and PM Netanyahu, as?the Likud party on Sunday?attacked President Shimon Peres for saying that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was a good paryner for peace.
Bibi and Likud once again put their foot in their mouth, causing widespread anger across Israel over Likud?s condemnation of President Peres and his remarks about Abbas.
The?attack by Likud on Israel?s president,?follows remarks by Peres on Sunday in his address to some 160 diplomats. Peres said he differed from the view of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu who repeatedly says there is no partner on the other side [to avoid peace talks], and said that he has known Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) for thirty years and is convinced that he is the only Arab leader with whom Israel can conclude an agreement.
Labor chairwoman Shelly Yacimovich on Sunday castigated the Likud party for it?s harsh criticism of President Shimon Peres,?who said that Abbas was a true partner for peace.
?The Likud?s lashing out at the president of the country, one of the symbols of the state of Israel, is aggressive and contemptible,? Yacimovich said, calling Peres the best ambassador Israel has and adding that his views represented Israel?s consensus.
The president represents the state and the Likud attack is causing widespread anger against Likud across the nation.
